Break Your Barriers
The fast pace and relentless nature of the world today presents constant waves of challenges that can wear us down.
We often think about success is down to being better, working harder, but the secret is sometimes as simple as having the determination and resilience to weather the storms for long enough to emerge not only intact, but thriving on the other side.
On this adventure, we will explore what the mountains can teach us about resilience, and build our own unbreakable fortitude by taking on the enchanting, yet imposing mountain of Tryfan, then pushing ourselves again on the challenging Bristly Ridge as we ascend Glyder Fach, before one final test on the descent of Y Gribin.

What to Expect - The Plan and Route
We will meet in the Siabod Cafe in nearby Capel Curig. After a briefing and getting to know each other, we'll make the short drive out to a layby on the A5, at the foot of the iconic mountain of Tryfan.
Once ready, we'll head onto the mountain, and the ground becomes broken nearly immediately, requiring hands-on-rock as we ascend the path. We'll then make our way onto the start of the ridge, and the scrambling continues up the ridge, and over the tricky North Tower, before reaching the summit.
Two standing boulders mark the highest point, and you will be granted the 'freedom of Tryfan' if you choose to step from one to the other (optional!).
We'll then descend via Tryfan's South Ridge, which whilst still a scramble, is less intense than the way up, and we'll soon be faced with our next challenge, Bristly Ridge.
We ascend 'Sinister Gully' to gain access to the ridge, and then make our way across it, overcoming a number of rock obstacles on the way, before reaching the summit of Glyder Fach.
Our final scrable is the descent of Y Gribin, before returning to the layby.
Post-event, for anyone who wants to staty longer, we will head to grab some food from Hangin' Pizza in nearby Betws-y-Coed (not included)
