Meet your Mountain in 2026
Our 2025 Meet Your Mountain adventures have drawn to a close, and what a year it has been. We have had some incredible adventures, taking on some of the most challenging hiking routes in the UK. We’ve scaled the epic mountains of the Lake District, got hands on rock in the mystical mountains of Snowdonia, and journeyed to the remote Scottish Highlands.
I’m excited to offer more Meet Your Mountain adventures in 2026, but I’m doing things a bit differently this time.
Meet Your Mountain sits at the extreme end of what Mountain Boardroom offers.
Much of our ‘mainstream’ work next year will be around making ‘outside thinking’ an option for as many people as possible, so many of our main Walkshops will be on much more accessible routes that will stretch people without going into full-on mountaineering.
That said…
I know that there’s a group of you who want to take on the big, extreme adventures, who find joy in pushing against the limits of fear, and want to test yourself on big moutain days. In 2026, I’m offering these to a select community, who register their interest in the Meet Your Mountain Walkshops.
How it works
Rather than publish specific dates for Walkshops in advance, I’ll work with the community to choose mutually-convenient dates for each adventure, along with preferred walkshop themes and locations, and we’ll plan the adventures around those.

You will be added to the Meet Your Mountain community will be a WhatsApp group
I will send out a poll to the group at least 1 month in advance with potential dates for the first Walkshop
Based on the replies I will create the Walkshop event, and you buy your ticket
If there are any spare spaces after those in the community who want a space have signed up, I will release the remaining tickets on Eventbrite (note that these general tickets will not always be available, hence why you should join the community!)
We have an incredible adventure!

What to expect: The 2025 Meet Your Mountain Adventures
We had some cracking days out in 2025, tackling resilience, focus, visioning and balance.
These themes just scratch the surface - it was incredible to see what people brought with them into the Walkshops, and what baggage they were able to leave in the mountains, returning lighter, focussed and inspired.
Below are the routes we took on in 2025 - these are a taste of what to expect - we may repeat some of these, and we may try some others too.
In terms of technicallity and difficulty, the Ambleside Horseshoe is a big mountain day out, yet probably the easiest route. Crib Goch, our last Walkshop, is a Grade 1 scramble, and one of the most exposed routes you will take on in the mountains without venturing into full-on rock climbing.
Find Your Path, Ambleside Horseshoe, Lake District
Walkshop Theme: Vision and planning
March 2025: this was a glorious day out at the start of the season. Starting in Ambleside, we took on the tough climb up onto the horseshoe, and were treated to beautiful conditions as we checked in with where we were on our journeys, and cast ourselves 1, 5 and 10 years into the future, imagining our lives as we overlooked the betautiful valley below.
Find Your Focus, Scafell Pike from Great Langdale, Lake District
Walkshop Theme: Productivity
April 2025: Scaling the highest mountain in England, approaching from Great Langdale, this was a monster of a day out. We looked at productivity, habit and consistency over a mega-loop that also took in Esk Pike and Bowfell
Ascend Beyond Limits, Striding Edge, Lake District
Walkshop Theme: Resilience, Confidence, Limiting Beliefs
Striding Edge is an introduction to real mountaineering, and this ridge gives you a sense of the exhiliration you feel to be balancing on the top of a mountain ridge.
For some, this is the end goal - to show that they can take on and complete one of the most challenging routes to the top of Helvellyn. For others, this is just the start of a journey into the world of scrambling.
Walks Into Journeys, Carn Mor Derag Arete and Ben Nevis, Scotland
Walkshop Theme: Sustainable Change
We looked at why making big, instant changes doesn’t last, and how a consistent stream of the right choices is the only route to sustainable change. All the while, we climbed Ben Nevis via the Carn Mor Derag Arete, a spectacular ridge with the feel of Striding Edge, but twice as long.
Meet Your Mountain, Crib Goch and the Snowdon Horseshoe
Walkshop Theme: Resilience
This infamous ridge is quite possible the most difficult mountain hike you can do, without venturing into bonafide rock climbing territory. On a stunning day, complete with cloud inversion, we scared ourselves silly on the precipitous ridge, though enjoying plenty of more fun scrambling both on the approach to Crib Goch and the second half of the horseshoe.
If this route doesn’t scare you, then it should. But completing it is the best feeling in the world, and if you can do this, you can do anything
